There Is Money In Bum Marketing

Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment

When you say bum, it naturally means someone who has no home, no work, no pay, no life but when it comes to Internet and making money on the Internet, it’s different and it’s really great to be a bum, to be in bum marketing, that is. So, what is Bum marketing? Bum marketing simply means that you sit on your computer, or in front of it, seriously, and type away all day and make money. So, what do you need to type? Any articles of a topic that has potential in the niche market. You write a topic, include it in Google search, for example, and when a buyer reads your article and click an affiliate link, you make money.

Well, what can you say about Bum Marketing? Good or very good? Because of bum marketing, a lot of people are now enjoying their time and money. The bum marketing method right now is very popular and very in-demand as lots of people today are laid off from their work. With nothing to do, some of them have discovered that there really is money on the Internet and you don’t have to be a great writer, you don’t have to have skills in web designing. You just need to be very passionate about what you write and you just go on writing based on what you think and that’s it.

Anybody can be in bum marketing? The only thing you need is your PC or laptop and you bang away on your computer writing anything under the sun. Just make sure your articles are currently interesting and timely as today’s headlines or whatever is the interest of people at the very moment. For example, if there is a huge sell-out for teddy bears, why not make an article on how to write a teddy bear and all that sort of thing? Then, when you post it on the Internet and someone reads your article and clicks the affiliate links included in your article, you make money. But where can you find these affiliate links? Excellent question.

I very often see blog posts with a title that reads “Shameless Self Promotion” followed by a small blurb about their new product or their new self help book.It is really strange to see how many people out there use those words.  I get blog posts daily related to self promotion and the majority of them are start with the words “a bit of Shameless Self Promotion”.

You might think that the title “Shameless Self Promotion” appears once in a while here and there on a blog or a website. No, I’m talking 80% of the internet posts that talk about self promotion start with some variation of “Shameless Self Promotion”.When I saw this I decided to write a blog, then articles and finally a self help book.

Do you think people don’t like selling themselves? Are you afraid that others will not like you because you are selling or marketing or promoting? I don’t get it! What is happening?  For starters, most of these internet entries come from people that have great content on their websites and blogs, so promote it, otherwise people will never find out and benefit from that content.

Maybe I can change your mind on what Self Promotion is and why it is never shameless.  You see, self promotion is an impulse that started with survival, with a primal instinct of self preservation.  Soon after it turned into a social skill that also required helping others to survive and strive in society in order to have more people helping each other and, yes, helping you.  This was the beginning of self promotion and it evolved into what we have today.

Now, you also have to remember that if you have a good product or a good service and people will benefit from it there is no shame in promoting it.  After all, you are providing a solution. This single thing is the premise of this post.  –If you provide value you need to promote it- This value can be with a product or service and it can also be form your advice, expertise, stories or blog posts.  It is what I call “Unselfish Self Promotion”.

Unselfish Self Promotion means that you provide value first. You always provide some kind of “worth” to sociaty or readers or strangers.  You provide it in content, products, advice and friendship.  When you do this you are promoting yourself whether you want it or not.

Google, the search engine, has quickly become the world’s most popular search tool. Hitwise UK tells us that, in October 2008, 75.11% of UK searches used Google.co.uk, 14.33% used Google.com, 2.86% used UK.Search.Yahoo.com and 2.16% used www.uk.ask.com. Clearly Google is the most popular tool in the UK search market.

But can you really trust the search results that Google provides? And how can a user verify that the search results provided by Google are accurate?

For businesses trading or promoting their services online Google is an important element in the chain that connects them with their prospective customers. If Google isn’t presenting a business in their search results then that business will not get any traffic from Google.

I've just become aware of massive differences between the Google.com search results and the localised Google.co.uk results. On investigation I’ve come across numerous reports from others who have seen similar, strange results.

In my case I came across a UK based business that is ranking very well in Google.com for a range of search terms, many including specific UK city and town names. However, using the same search queries with Google.co.uk the results were far less favourable with a page that appeared at #6 in results from Google.com appearing at around #400 in the results from Google.co.uk. I tried this comparison with a number of UK-city-specific terms and observed similar results for a variety of landing pages in this site.

At first I thought that there must be issues with the site or its hosting so I did a little probing and found that the server is UK based, the site has been labelled as being in the UK in Google webmaster tools and they have a UK business address.

I also conducted the very same searches using the same queries entered into Yahoo. The results were the opposite of those received from Google with Yahoo UK ranking the various landing pages more highly than Yahoo global. So it would appear that Yahoo has correctly detected that the site is a UK based business with a market in the UK and would therefore be of interest to those searching from the UK. Google, however, appears to be under the impression that the site is focussed somewhere other than the UK (U.S.) even with the additional information provided via webmaster tools and Google maps.

So Google is getting it wrong, badly. If Google.co.uk were an employee or a consultant and they were found to have returned such inaccurate and misleading results they would potentially be sacked.

For businesses the implications of Google’s apparent inability to accurately determine the geographic location of their market (even when stated explicitly) is worrying. When I was investigating this apparent problem I came across reports of similar issues from other websites. In one case a business disappeared completely from the Google UK results, retained good positions in Google.com and somehow went to number 1 in the Google Russia results. Others have reported massive fluctuations in their Google.co.uk search results.

It would appear that there are currently some significant and worrying failings in the quality of the results delivered by Google.co.uk and I, for one, no longer have much faith in the accuracy of the search results provided by this tool.

I recommend Stansted Airport Parking for some massive savings on parking at the airport.

This really could give you an advantage! If the company has proven products that the public needs, proven leadership to point you in the right direction, and an unbeatable compensation plan.Coming into a company early might be very profitable for you.I’d consider this to be the best of both worlds - but might be hard to locate.

A person doesn’t necessarily need MLM experience. Nor do you even need to work the business full time. But you do need to make a commitment to seriously working your business at least part time if you want it to work for you.The only time you will fail the right MLM business is when you give up.

So, to review, you need to be searching for the right company, where timing is in its favor, and you have the right product to promote. Writing the Greatest Headlines

Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment

The headline is unquestionably the most important factor in most advertising.

Likewise-it is also the most singularly important element of any selling message “live or recorded, in person or by phone, audio or video” your company ever uses.

It is the opening sentence or paragraph you use in any sales letter or written communication you ever send out to customers, prospects, suppliers or staff. It’s the first words your sales persons utter, when they engage anyone in a sales presentation or one-on-one discussion.

Likewise, the “headline,” or its “equivalent,” are the first phrases you begin your conversation with when a customer or prospect comes in or calls in. It is also the first words you say when producing a commercial or when meeting people at trade show.

The purpose of a headline is to attract your prospect’s ATTENTION. When I say your prospect, I mean that your headline should zero in on exactly to whom you want to reach your target market. For example, if you wish to attract homeowners, put the word “homeowners” in the headline.

The headline should serve as an ad for your ad. It should tell the reader immediately and clearly the essence of what you’re trying to say in the body copy. The headline should give the reader a Huge Benefit or Huge Promise. So, create a headline that tells the right people precisely the benefit you’re offering them.

When you write or decide upon your headline or it’s equivalent, you have spent at least 80 cents out of your dollar. Stated differently, 80% of your outcome-four fifths of your result… all but 20% of the success of your selling effort is effected positively or negatively by how and what you communicate in the beginning.

A tweak of headline can make a 20 times improvement in response or acceptance by your customer or prospect of your proposition. Every headline or opening statement should appeal to the prospect’s or reader’s or listener’s self-interest. It has to promise him or her a desirable, powerful and appealing benefit. If possible, try to inject “news” value or “educational” value into the headline as well.

Promoting The Company

Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment

Business want and need to promote not only their products but also their names. You can have a well marketed, high quality product, but if people don’t trust your company then it will be much harder to sell them your products. This is why companies like Nike or Telechart 2000 work so hard to protect their brands. These companies spend millions and millions of dollars to make themselves recognizable by a mere “swoosh” or symbol. That symbol lets people know that what they are getting is a high quality product and that it can be trusted. It is rational that a company doesn’t want manufacturers getting in the way of their strong brand because then people might see the product as less valuable.

So why don’t all companies build up a brand. Well there are a few reasons for this. To begin, creating a brand can be prohibitively costly. Companies will invest tens of millions of dollars to promote their brand to even a modestly recognizable level. A brand is a tender thing, it can be broken by a simple mistake or one bad product. Also, not every business wants a brand attached to their products. As an example, when a company makes a cheap quality product they wouldn’t want their name associated with that product because then people won’t buy the next junk product they put out. Who would want a brand like that built up for their company? Simply you wouldn’t.

Another great type of companies that like to build their brands are market investing companies. These companies typically have very strong brands because that is all they have to go by, their reputation. Individuals trust stock companies with their hard earned cash for the reason that they have been able to provide a good return in the past. If companies didn’t have this type of reputation they could just do it alone with some simple stock trading software.

Anyway you slice it, branding is important to many companies. It is the main way a company can market the brand they control, and thus sell the products to make their revenues. This is why brands are so heavily protected by law.
